How many of your Microsoft 365 licenses are actually in use?

The Microsoft 365 health check uses your usage reports to find unused and underused licenses. It's built for IT admins and CTOs, and you get the results within 5 business days.

What you get

  • A short report

Licenses nobody uses, licenses barely used, and usage by license type.

  • Where to save

Which licenses you could reclaim or move to a better-fitting plan.

  • A 30-minute call

We walk through the report together and answer your questions.

How it works

  1. Apply

Fill in the form and we'll get back to you within one business day.

  2. Share the reports

Give us the read-only Reports Reader role temporarily, or export the usage reports yourself and send them over.

  3. Get the results

Within 5 business days we send the report and schedule the call.

What data do we look at?

Only your Microsoft 365 usage reports. We don't see your email, files or chats. The Reports Reader role is read-only and can't change anything in your environment.

Microsoft 365 can hide user names in its reports. The check works with that setting on; we then report by license type and usage level instead of by person. We recommend removing the role once we're done.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes, once per organization. The report is yours to keep, and what happens next is up to you.

Who can apply?

IT admins and CTOs at organizations that use Microsoft 365.

Do you change anything in our environment?

No. We only read the reports. If you want to change licenses, you make the changes, or we plan them with you separately.

How long does it take?

We send the report within 5 business days of getting access to the reports. The call takes 30 minutes.

Does it work if user names are hidden?

Yes. We report by license type and usage level rather than by person.
